imMail Privacy Policy
This Terms of Service helps you to understand which information we collect, how we use these information and in what particularly situations we share them.
The term imMail means the company imMail, the app imMail available at both platforms iOS and Android, and the Web application accessed through browsers.
It’s important to notice that you, as a first user from a specific domain, will be the primary manager of your account, identified by your email address.
All documents, files and messages that you send or receive using imMail services are under your responsibility. Creating and belonging to groups are under your responsibility as well.
A Company may have more than one Domain Administrator. Because the Domain Administrator have access to the log, he has access to all messages and files of all talks and groups.
All administrators as users.
Important Considerations
Any information or document posted on imMail is private to the receiver, so no one else can access or read that information except Domain Administrators. Such rule is also valid to groups.
imMail is a custodian of the data that are exchanged between corporations and users. imMail do not assume any jurisdiction over that data.
imMail primary concern is about security, confidentiality and compliance of your data.
Which information imMail collects
imMail collects information only to operate, maintain, and configure all functionalities necessary to imMail’s service. imMail analyses how the services are being used to identify technical problems, keep the security, customize content, retrieve information that helps you to operate in a more effective way, and aggregate monitoring metrics such as number of operating uses, message traffic, demographic patterns, tracking content to assure conformance with international copyrights.
Kinds of information that are collected and how are used
Profile and account information
The only data from user are email address and password. Any other information is optional and may eventually asked for such as phone number, department position, business number, birthday.
Group and corporate information
imMail only collects the email address of the administrators and users belonging the group or corporation and passwords.
If the corporation has a AD/LDAP integration some information to configure this integration may be needed.
Charging Information
If the user decides to a paid plan information concerning to credit card to be charged are required.
Logging Information
When you log into imMail the imMail’s servers will record the information available from your browser or mobile. That information may contain the IP address, web page address the user visited before the imMail URL, browsers and mobile configurations, plug-ins, language preferences, cookie data. The content of the messages and files also are logged and will not be erased. The domain administrator has the power to decide to make a backup of all or part of logging information, and then decide to erase all or part of log. It’s up to the domain administrator to manage where to guard and secure the information contained in the log.
Geolocatization information
The geolocalization may be collected under user’s authorization. Wifi and IP received from user’s network or mobile may be used to get an approximation of the user localization.

Providing the imMail service
The information made available to imMail is used to authenticate him, to provide the content of the messages and files from other user’s and companies.
Understanding and improving the services
imMail may use the information provided by users to understand how users are using that.
Avoiding misuses and frauds
imMail works hard to maintain security and to avoid abuses, misuses and frauds.
Solving problems and answering questions
If the user makes a contact, all the information provided in that contact will be used to handle, solve and answer the requirement or observation.
Communication inside the imMail platform
imMail may use the information that the user provided to support@immail.ca or to our supporting groups to contact the user.
How imMail shares user’s information
Operation and use of personal and professional information
imMail show user’s personal and professional data on your profile page, according to your preferences defined in the user’s configuration page. Any information that the user decides to be public must be of his own responsibility. The user can enter the configuration page and edit his own configuration and personal data anytime. The user’s information may be used in integration with other tools and platforms.
Service providers, business partners
imMail may share the user’s personal identification to third parties only on purpose to provide a service to him. In such cases all third parties must sign with imMail a same level policy agreement.
Jurisdiction transfer
As developers, imMail may buy or sell shares. Clients, email and statistics on visits are usually some kind of information used in such transactions. imMail may transfer information in the case of fusions, alienation and dissolution of the imMail.
Third part services
imMail may share user’s information with third party applications under user’s permission. As an example, and not necessarily limited to, information is shared when the user decides to access imMail’s platform through google or facebook. imMail is not responsible by what third parties do with the information collected. The user is the only responsible in deciding which platform has a privacy policy acceptable to him.
Compliance with the rights of protection of imMail
imMail my share user’s personal information under legal processes, or if imMail understand that it is necessary to attend some legal regulation, to protect the security of any person, to address any fraud or to protect imMail’s rights of property.
Non personal identification information
imMail may share some public information, aggregated or not, such as anonymous use of data, platforms and operating systems preferred, with the only and exclusive objective to identify the patterns of use of imMail.
How imMail protects user’s information
imMail considers the security of user’s information as the most important task. When user’s offers sensible information (as credit card information, for instance), that information will be transfered encrypted using SSL protocol (SSL – Secure Socket Layer Technology).
imMail uses the best security practices to preserve the security of all message contents and files exchanged inside the platform.
imMail’s database information are hosted at secure datacenters, which are audited according to SAS 70, an international procedure that regulates the control and auditability of Data Centers.
imMail implemented firewalls and access restrictions on their servers to protect the integrity of their network and to preserve user’s information data.
imMail points out that there is no electronic transmission method of data storage that are 100% secure. In that way, imMail can’t guarantee absolute security on information of the user’s exchanged using imMail’s platform.
If, for any reason, some information had been compromised as a result of some kind of security violation, it is imMail’s commitment to notify all people affected by this security violation or through any other notification defined by law.

All changes in imMail’s terms of privacy and services will be available to the customers in this page. That include collected information, how that information are shared and under which particularly situations these information are disclosed.
